Crows have a reputation for being intelligent and creative as well as persistent. The ones living around our house are fun to watch when playing games with our cats & dogs in order to nick their food. 

Ranked among the most remarkable animals, they are capable of not only recognising themselves in a mirror and using tools but flying straight ("As the Crow flies") to the nearest food supply, ergo wasting no time.
