about the Waste Problem

As you should know by now, our aim has always been to keep making good coffee simple, not just for the skilled ones or those ready to invest money and lots of time, but for everyone interested in drinking fresh coffee. We have proven to do so by inventing the etzMAX, an easy-to-use, adjust & clean electrical grinder with GbW-option and lowest retention, the etzMAN, the first and only manual grinder to directly grind from Hopper to Portafilter with GbW-option or the etz-I, the very first hand grinder with Anti-static-Jig and retractable crank handle. Our grinders are easy to use and access qualifying even unexperienced Coffee Enthusiasts to bring out the best in their coffee beans of choice - without knowing about RDT or WDT or any other technique.
This time though, our approach has been a bit different. Instead of launching a new machine or grinder obliging potential buyers to replace their old one (and thus adding to the waste pile even more), we have come up with a solution for a worldwide-known-and-to-be-solved problem - without permanently having to remind customers to recycle.
Espresso Lovers cannot just keep on using their capsule machine but will save money by doing so (most within the first year) and reduce waste to either a very large extent or an extent of their choice - but always to some extent once and whenever they decide to use our etz-Icare-system (CaRe - Capsule Refill). They don`t have to do without their routine entirely, they still can drink their beloved capsule coffee when time is tight or when serving guests .. but if the time is right and once they feel like they are ready to get a fresh taste by simultaneously going green, they can directly grind their choice of fresh beans, locally roasted (or not), fast and easy, straight into their reusable capsule, manually (with our etz-I) or even electrically (etzMAX, Sette,..). The built-in tamper assists to densify and then tamp the ground coffee before sealing the capsule with a reusable lid and continuing with the well-known routine of brewing coffee - or let`s call it an etzPresso - with a capsule machine.
